When people show up for each other, everything changes.

The problems that feel too big for one person get solved by people who care, working together. That’s what Casa Pampa is. A community organization on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula where neighbors, volunteers, visitors, schools, businesses and non-profits partner to care for each other and the land.

Why We Exist

We compost. We grow food. We clean beaches. We track wildlife. We facilitate language exchanges. And we do it all with our longtime friends from the Southern Nicoya Peninsula and our new friends visiting us from all over the world.

We keep things simple. If it costs too much money or takes fancy equipment, most people won’t do it. So, we focus on what anyone can do, starting today, with what they already have.

We get our hands dirty. We learn by doing. And we ground everything we do in science. Not to sound smart, but because the truth matters.
